Did you finally get that dream job and have to move to the big city? Or maybe your company is sending you to a new location? Being prepared for your relocation is the best way to minimize the stress involved. It is important to know your shipping options so that you don’t start your new life feeling broke or exhausted! Here are a few options for kicking off the next chapter of your life as stress free and easy as possible:

U-Haul: Sure, you could rent a U-Haul truck and lug your boxes and furniture around, but make sure you know what you are signing up for. You will have to wrap all of your furniture yourself, and then load the truck yourself. Not to mention that you pay for gas and tolls. Although it might seem easier to just do it yourself without a moving service, there are extra hidden costs and inconveniences that you have to factor into your moving plan.

Freight Shipping: If you’re looking for cheap, then freight shipping is your best friend! Although freight shipping involves boxing or crating items for shipping yourself and bringing it down to the curbside for pickup and delivery, the method of transport is guaranteed to cost you the least.

Small Movers: So far, all of this seems like so much labor on your end, doesn’t it? And we know you’re tired, from the years you’ve spent in college, or working, or both! The last thing you want to do is move heavy boxes or furniture.  If this sounds like you, then hiring a small mover is the best choice for you.  Small movers will enter your apartment or house and wrap and load your belongings on the truck. They will drive it, unload it, and deliver it directly inside your new location. So basically, with small movers, all you have to do is pick up the phone or get a quote online…and it is really that easy.

So whether you are taking the first step into the professional world, or taking a step up, knowing what type of move you need will help eliminate some of the stress involved. This in turn will hopefully help you save money and make your transition as smooth as it should be!
